There will be appearances at different places as part of the promotion. MonsterMania next week right? What others ones will there be cast appearances at?
I haven't been to the States since I was kid...being a part of a zombie movie and covering it for Spartan Youth Radio is a pretty enticing reason to cross the border again!
haha well my count was off because of later comments (and I think I forgot myself haha), but you can be six anyway John haha. And tis indeed I: Amber Boice
Ok...i'll spill the news... we are kick starting our NOTLD 2012 mini tour, titled "Nights of the Living Dead". We will be appearing at the Monster-Mania Convention in Hunt Valley, Maryland. My right hand lady/FX partner, Karen Michelle and I will be there all weekend, the 16th-18th. On the 17th we will have actors, Sarah Snyder (Barbra), Mike Lord SR. (Ben), Wade Brown (Johnny), and Big Beau (The Mechanic Ghoul). We will also be joined by our FX Guru/Master, Troy Smith.
Our 2nd show appearance will be at the 2nd annual Creeps and Freaks Halloween Bash on Oct 29th in my home town, Luray, VA. where i'll be the host of the event and our actors will be there as well. Our 3rd appearance will be at the Mysticon Convention in Roanoke, VA in Feb.
Let me know of any Canadian stops in the future. If you want a host for a northern Ontario tour (Sudbury, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, etc.) let me know!
I'LL DO THE SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT... On October 31st, Halloween Night...we will be releasing on the web...worldwide...a special promo movie that is a lead up to the film!!! No catch to it...it will be shown all over the web...BUT...If you want the chance to see it before Halloween...then you will have to come to the Creeps and Freaks Halloween Bash in Luray, VA. on Oct. 29th
Well, my friends...i thank all of you for the support for this film. This movie will be THE DEFINITIVE remake. We know there are haters out there, and ones very upset about us doing this movie....even some of the original creators are a little ticked... But..this film is not being made for the money, the publicity, or to make a quick buck by cashing in on the title...it's being made with pure heart and love and passion for the original. It is being made because we are sick of remakes and especially the ones that have tarnished this classic... so...with that...my announcement is.. Like the Original NOTLD...Our version, NOTLD(2012)....WILL BE IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN...
we want to give back to the creators...we want people to know that we are not stealing this idea and story...ours will be entered in the public domain as a sign of our love, pride, and respect of Night of the Living Dead
oh, if u need aircraft for props or flybys over head, i know some gents who could make it happen, one guy is as die hard NOTLD fan as I am and is on the east coast!
How many Devil Head Ghouls are there? Reason I'm asking is that at $200 a pop, you're giving a lot away (flight, hotel, food, etc). I donated already but was wondering how this is $$ feasible for you? Not being a hater or anything...just being inquisitive!
we are trying to raise the $90,000 for the film....the budget was broken down, showing that it would allow us to transport actors...in that, we decided to let fans buy a part in the movie
As an idea, you might want to look into Casey Walker's "A Little Bit Zombie" idea. He sold every frame of the movie for $10 a piece and made $2 million to make his flick. Ended up getting Shawn Roberts (Wesker from Resident Evil) and Shawn McHattie (Pontypool). Any profit that is made is given back to the "associate producers" aka the donors by way of a donation to a donation to the environmental charity of their choice.
Either way, divying it up to $10 is exceptionally affordable to most people!
it sounds like you guys are gonna take this film to the next level i wish the best of luck you to your cast and crew and i'm really looking forward to seeing your verison
Tonight!!! 8:00pm!!! Updates on The Night of the Living Dead (2012)!!!
